For seven months, the Royal Thai Navy Special Forces subjects those aspiring to join this elite unit to rigorous training believed to rival that of the US Navy Seals.
It's known as “Underwater Attack and Destroy” training..
Candidates endure simulated torture and harsh physical testing, and are sent on training missions deep underwater to sabotage "enemy" vessels.
This year, 88 troopers volunteered. Most will fail.
Staff photographer and multimedia journalist Jetjaras Na Ranong, will follow them from the beginning to the bitter end in a five part web-only series.
